Jan Indra (Programming Director, CZECH REPUBLIC) is a young professional with over 7 years of experience in the fields of OSINT, investigations and data visualizations.
Currently working as a Business Intelligence Consultant at a Czech private consulting firm Screening Solutions, Jan`s work primarily entails research, analysis and reporting of various due diligence and investigation projects, with specialization on identification of potential conflicts of interests or corruption indicators.
Before coming to Screening Solutions, Jan spent 4 years working as an investigative reporter at a Czech non-profit investigative newsroom Czech Center for Investigative Journalism, where he had the opportunity to collaborate on some of the biggest cross-border global investigations including projects such as the Panama Papers or the Russian Laundromat.
Aside from research and analysis, Jan`s work also includes content management, creation and marketing, mostly for an educational organization Compliance Academy (articles, podcast, handbooks, infographics etc.) which strives for bringing together GRC professionals in the Czech Republic.
Over the years, Jan has also professionally collaborated with the Poynter Institute`s International Fact-Checking Network as an External Assessor or with the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) as an Investigative Reporter and Fact-Checker.
Field-wise, Jan is a data analytics & visualization enthusiast interested in how visual representation of data can help uncover hidden patterns and connections between various entities or individuals. He has attended numerous international workshops focused on investigative journalism and hosted his own workshop on OSINT & data visualization.
