Hamad Alhelal is the Director of Financial Crime Intelligence at Sigma Ratings. He is a seasoned financial crime compliance professional with approximately a decade of experience within the industry and specializes in complex transnational criminal or regulatory investigations. Prior to his role at Sigma, Hamad was an integral part of the industry’s first Cyber Financial Crime Intelligence unit at Standard Chartered Bank.
Gabrielle Haddad is the Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer of Sigma Ratings, Inc., the world’s first non-credit rating agency. Gabrielle began her career as an M&A attorney at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in NYC. She subsequently spent several years as an executive at The Global Fund, a Geneva, Switzerland based international financing institution, where she worked on risk and governance issues in over 30 country portfolios across Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Her passion for international development, technology and innovation led her to return to the US and to spend a year studying at MIT, where she met her co-founder and launched Sigma. Gabrielle has an undergraduate degree in Finance from Villanova University, a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and an M.B.A. from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
Mark Batts has more than 35 years of experience working with international banks, including with HSBC and Standard Bank, and has witnessed the pace of disruption and regulatory change over the years. His experience has encompassed regulatory change management driven from a first line of defense perspective, restructuring, repositioning and managing different bank business lines. Mark has expert knowledge of banking sectors in many countries including the developing economies working with both financial institutions and corporate clients.
