ABOUT THE EVENT

The Discovering Digital Trails Workshop: An Introduction to Open Source Intelligence is a practical training designed for professionals working to detect and prevent financial crime.

In today’s complex landscape, the ability to leverage open-source intelligence (OSINT) is essential for identifying fraud, money laundering, and other illicit activity.

This workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of OSINT, including legal and ethical considerations, and provides practical instruction on how to apply Boolean logic, search operators, and corporate registry tools to uncover red flags.

Through real-world examples and hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to analyze public records and social media for investigative value while also evaluating the opportunities and risks of using Generative AI in OSINT.

By the end of the session, attendees will have a solid foundation for integrating OSINT techniques into their financial crime investigations.

Meet Your Instructor

Pamela Clegg

Vice President, Latin America and Spain

Pamela joined IVIX in February 2025, as Vice President, Latin America. In her role, she works closely with governments to provide AI-powered solutions that leverage Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) and advanced technologies to detect illicit business activity around the world, helping governments combat financial crimes in the digital economy. She is responsible for leading and executing IVIX’s growth strategy and customer engagement across the Latin America region.

Prior to IVIX, Pamela was the Chief Compliance Officer and AML Officer at United Texas Bank, overseeing and managing all aspects of compliance within the bank, including digital asset and foreign correspondent banking activity. Before UTB, Pamela served as Vice President of Crypto Investigations and Risk for Ciphertrace at Mastercard. In this role, she worked with governments, law enforcement officials, regulators, law firms, and financial institutions worldwide to address cryptocurrency risks and conduct financial investigations into cryptocurrency-related activities. She also served several years as AVP - BSA and Information Security at First State Bank.

Pamela brings international experience in investigations, due diligence, and operations, primarily in Latin America, during her 10+ tenure with the U.S. Government. She obtained her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). She has led trainings and workshops, and spoken on cryptocurrency and financial crimes globally, including: INTERPOL, UN, EUROPOL, IRS, USSS, Basel Governance, ACAMS, ACFCS and other international and federal organizations. Brian Svoboda-Kindle

SVP Product and Programming

As SVP of Product and Programming for ACFCS, Brian oversees the development and delivery of training content to the association’s global community of financial crime professionals, including certification programs, live and online training events, and online courses. He also assisted in the construction of the Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS) examination, and collaborates with a group of global financial crime experts to maintain and update the credential on an ongoing basis. Previously, he served as the Executive Director, and the association’s Editorial Director.

Before joining ACFCS, he conducted research and advocacy work on public policy issues for national and regional non-profit organizations, and was a freelance journalist. He is a graduate of Duke University.

Cheyenne Vyska

Sr Training Manager

Cheyenne Vyska is a Senior Training Manager at the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists (ACFCS), where she has been advancing financial crime prevention education since 2022.

Cheyenne brings specialized expertise in investigations, KYC and onboarding, cryptocurrency, and international money transfer compliance. Prior to her current role, Cheyenne worked as an Industry Onboarding Analyst at Coinbase, where she helped integrate new business users into the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Her background also includes AML Compliance positions at WorldRemit and Promontory Financial Group (an IBM Company), where she developed strong skills in regulatory compliance and financial crime detection.

How do I register?

Following the purchase of your seat(s) a confirmation of enrollment will be sent out 1-2 business days following enrollment with additional details on access.

Can we register as a group?

Yes. After adding to cart, click the edit icon in the top right hand corner - this will allow you to adjust the number of seats in your cart. Following purchase, a member of the ACFCS team will reach out to confirm names and emails for your purchased seats.

Can I cancel my registration?

Seats are non-refundable per the refund policy below.

Do I have to complete the pre-work in order to receive credit for the workshop?

No, pre-work is not required to receive credit for attending the workshop. You will receive full credit for participation by attending the live Zoom webinar session. However, we strongly recommend completing the pre-work materials for better understanding of the workshop content and for easier engagement in discussions and activities.
