ACFCS launches Washington, D.C. Chapter

New chapter brings power and resources of one of the nation's leading financial crime prevention certification and education associations to D.C. market
With a mission of promoting financial crime prevention competence among professionals in compliance, banking, security and other finance-oriented fields, the D.C. Chapter provides ACFCS education and networking opportunities to members.
The official Washington, D.C. Chapter Launch Party took place on June 29 and was hosted at Pepper Hamilton, LLP. The event welcomed current members to the chapter and connected financial crime prevention professionals from around the D.C. area.
The Chapter globally connects members with fellow financial crime professionals equally committed to staying abreast of continuously changing financial crime trends, and improving results in compliance, investigations and enforcement.
In addition, Washington, D.C. Chapter members can take advantage of ACFCS local and national events, have exclusive access to ACFCS resources and information, and participate in members-only initiatives. Finally, the Chapter will offer practical guidance intended to detect, prevent and deter fraud and corruption."
The new Chapter will be led by a local Board of ACFCS-certified professionals:

- Co-Chair – Bruce Zagaris
- Secretary – Mike Bombace
- Communications Director – Debra Bonosconi
