Data Analytics & Tax Enforcement
June 28, 2019 – This event focused on the application and use of data analytics to detect and prevent international tax evasion and other financial crimes. The panelists reviewed the legal framework and related tax exposure of international artists and athletes who with a focus on IRS compliance programs and international tax treaties. The discussion also included a review of best practices for financial crime investigations and how data analytics and modeling can be leveraged to identify indicators of illicit financial activity in large datasets. This event was hosted by the SAS Institute in Arlington, VA and included comments by ACFCS National on membership, training and certification programs.
