The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists has unlocked a trove of secret bank account information once obscured from public view. The project, dubbed Swiss Leaks, reveals that the HSBC Swiss Private Bank based in Geneva opened and maintained accounts for questionable clients with equally questionable motives. Among the revelations was that the bank served clients who were connected to arms trafficking, drug dealing, conflict minerals and political corruption. ACFCS has compiled the data from the leaks into an interactive map of the global reach of the HSBC Private Banking unit. Click on the placemarks in each location to learn more about the profiles of the clients HSBC served.
